Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating a Billably account or using any part of the service at billably.net, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use Billably. These terms form a binding agreement between you and Billably.

2. What Billably is

Billably is an invoice management and payment follow-up tool for freelancers and small businesses. It lets you track invoices, manage clients, and send payment reminder emails — including directly from your Gmail account if you choose to connect it. Billably is a tool to assist you; it does not guarantee that your clients will pay their invoices.

3. Your account

• You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into contracts.
• One person or business entity may not maintain more than one free account.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. We are not liable for any loss caused by unauthorized access to your account.
• You must provide accurate information when creating your account and keep it up to date.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Billably to:

• Send spam, unsolicited messages, or harass anyone
• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Impersonate another person or business
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to Billably's systems or other users' accounts
• Use the service for any purpose other than legitimate invoice and payment management
• Resell or sublicense access to Billably without our written permission

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice.

5. Gmail integration

If you connect your Gmail account, you authorize Billably to send emails from your Gmail address on your behalf. You remain fully responsible for the content and legality of emails sent through your account. You can revoke Gmail access at any time from Settings or from your Google Account permissions page. Revoking Gmail access does not delete your Billably account.

6. Subscription and billing

• Free plan: Available to all users with limited features at no cost.
• Paid plans: Billed monthly or annually as shown on the pricing page. Prices may change with 30 days' notice.
• Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription at any time from the billing settings. You'll retain access until the end of your current billing period — no partial refunds.
• Refunds: We offer refunds within 7 days of your first payment if you're not satisfied. After that, no refunds are issued for partial periods.
• Failed payments: If a payment fails, we'll notify you and may downgrade your account to the free plan after a grace period.

7. Your data

You own all invoice data, client data, and content you add to Billably. We don't claim any rights over it. You can export or delete your data at any time. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle your data.

8. Our intellectual property

Billably — including its design, code, brand, and all features — is owned by us and protected by intellectual property law. These terms do not grant you any ownership rights in Billably. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the service for its intended purpose.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• Billably is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
• We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that reminder emails will result in payment.
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including lost revenue, lost clients, or missed payments — arising from your use of Billably.
• Our total liability to you for any claim arising from the use of Billably will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

• You can close your account at any time from the settings page.
• We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, with or without notice depending on the severity.
• On termination, your right to use Billably ends immediately. We may delete your data after 30 days.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If the changes are material, we'll notify you by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use Billably after that date means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Billably operates. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction. If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
